Entropic State is a collection of artworks from a research trip to Labin and its surrounding areas in Istria in 2021. These works are a response to a landscape shaped by the ever-changing ideological currents, which are reflected in the region's architecture and dilapidated industrial infrastructure.

Was ist Kunst, IRWIN?

The Slovenian artist collective IRWIN is celebrating its 40th anniversary with an exhibition titled “Was ist Kunst, IRWIN?”. The exhibition delves into the black humour that is always present in IRWIN’s work, as well as how they use the questions of the State to comment on contemporary issues, such as migration. The exhibition will open on Friday, September 8th, 2023.

A Gathering for Mass Instructions

The Slovene Ethnographic Museum in Ljubljana, Slovenia, held an event titled “Art Is Not A Luxury, But A Necessity” on the longest day of the year, June 21st. During the event, Alexander Nym presented the book he edited titled “Reden An Die Europäische Nation: Weapons of Mass Instruction.”

The book Weapons of Mass Instruction offers a unique perspective on the NSK State following the Berlin Citizens’ Congress until its final actions before the pandemic. This bilingual book is available in English and German and gives readers a distinctive perspective on possibly the most enduring and influential art project ever created. Individually stamped and numbered copies are available.

Art in Progress by Matjaž Stopar

The exhibited works of art are in progress. They are finished but not completed. They remain open to new ideas, concepts and contributions. They are already transient by themselves, says their author Mr Matjaž Stopar. As long as they are in his possession, he reserves the right to change, adapt, discard and destroy them per a new concept.

Slovenian art collective IRWIN and Epifani Institute from Prishtina, Kosovo are announcing the ‘NSK Territory Prishtina’, their joint project at the location of On Top Residency. By raising the NSK flag, a small plot of land will be declared an “independent territory".

KonstruktK3 collective Art project

KonstruktK3 started as a collective virtual art project produced by 3 NSK citizens 24 weeks ago and going further in time on Instagram profile. Every week artists decide about a theme/concept for that week and make personal interventions - interpretations on a theme, involving the black cross object, first used in 2016 for the Malewitsch der Woche (Berthold Schymura) project. Art exhibition "24 CROSSing weeks / 24 tednov KRIŽenja" represents digital photo prints as materialization of the collective's interventions in the first 24 weeks of the project.

Special limited edition of NSK FOLKART EXCHANGES

This publication captures the essence of two seminal events that brought the NSK State in Time to Burren’s beautiful and remote karst landscape in Ireland. The 2nd NSK State Folk Art Biennale: NSK Folk Art Rising 1916-2016 and the exhibition Crisis Currency at Burren College of Art in May 2018 served as a robust dialogue between the NSK State and this European peripheral zone. This documentation is a testament to the profound impact that art can have on bringing together diverse communities and fostering meaningful connections that transcend geographic boundaries.
